The pump structure includes: a pump body with an internal cavity; a pump head disposed within the cavity — the first axial end of the pump head is open, the second axial end is sealed, and the first end is fixed and sealed to the cavity, forming a water storage chamber between the inner wall of the pump head and the inner wall of the cavity. The pump head features an axially expandable elastic expansion section, with a gap maintained between the elastic expansion section and the inner peripheral wall of the cavity.
A drive mechanism connected to the second end of the pump head drives it in axial reciprocating motion within the cavity. When the second end moves back and forth, the elastic expansion section undergoes elastic deformation to achieve liquid suction and discharge. Because the elastic expansion section does not contact the inner peripheral wall of the cavity, frictional resistance is reduced, wear is minimized, noise is lowered, and the service life of both the pump structure and the water flosser is extended.
